How Music Affects Your Brain and Heart
Music is something most of us experience every day, but we rarely stop to think about what it is actually doing to us. A song can change your mood within seconds, bring back a memory you haven't thought about in years, or make you feel more energized. These reactions aren't happening by accident. When we hear music, our brains process much more than sound, and those changes can affect the way the rest of our body responds.
From the first beat of a song to the final note, the brain is constantly interpreting what it hears. It recognizes patterns, predicts what might come next, connects sounds with memories, and determines how we should feel about what we are hearing.
